Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Louriecar (she/her) is one of our Associate Clinicians and primarily provides clinical services to adult individuals. She is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) in good standing with the CRPO (reg# 12613). Using cognitive behavior, attachment-focused, and mindfulness approaches, Louriecar tailored each session to her client’s needs. Outside of work, she enjoys knitting socks and napping with Shiba-Inu!

  • Providing treatment for anxiety, depression, and other cognitive and behavioral challenges that hinder you from reaching your best self in life.

  • Supporting complex challenges in BIPOC mental health and advocacy.

  • Unpacking emotionally charged family dynamics through an attachment-focused and trauma-informed lens.

  • Helping you approach life transition issues through a mindfulness-based stress-reduction model.

  • Making sense of your adversities and traumatic life experiences, such as partner/gender violence, through narrative and justice-oriented approaches and guiding you to achieve wholeness by working through a body-mind-based model.

  • Addressing the multi-faceted challenges and unique layers of 2SLGBTQIA+ issues, including the gender transition process. (Note: Louriecar is an ally to the community. Professional Experience:

Louriecar brings her professional frontline experience in various settings, such as victim services and a rape crisis center, to our clinical environment. As a classically trained cognitive-behavior practitioner, Louriecar previously practiced in another private mental health setting in the GTA area under supervision. She is also experienced in providing language-specific psychotherapy sessions in Tagalog upon request from clients!

Education & Training:

Louriecar holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) degree from Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology from Carleton University. She has also completed various post-graduate training programs, including but not limited to:

  • Narrative Therapy

  • Attachment-Focused Psychotherapy

  • Cognitive Behavior Therapy

  • National Adoption Competency Mental Health Training

Clinical Supervision:

Louriecar is currently receiving an ongoing clinical supervision from MacGyver Kou, MSC, ​RP (CRPO, reg# 005445) and participates in peer group consultations for professional development.
