• Anxiety treatment and other related mental health challenges using cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT).

• Gender identity and challenges associated with transitioning, including hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and gender-affirming surgeries.

• Parents struggling to support their child with gender identity exploration or questioning.

• Young adults or post-secondary students struggling to cope with life transition issues, peer or collegial relationships, and other mental health challenges.

Professional Experience:

Julian has worked at a local hospital in outpatient mental health, as well as in a post-secondary context, supporting students struggling with mental health and academic challenges. Please note that if your family or child is currently receiving services at the gender diversity clinic at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO), Julian cannot provide counseling or psychotherapy due to his ongoing professional obligations.

Education & Training:

Julian earned his Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Carleton University, tailoring his studies to direct intervention and clinical social work practice. Additionally, he holds an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology degree from McMaster University.

He received post-graduate training in cognitive-behavioral therapy from Wilfrid Laurier University and underwent narrative therapy training after obtaining his MSW. Julian continues to actively participate in professional development opportunities to enhance his knowledge and skills as a clinician.

Professional or Clinical Memberships:

Julian maintains an active professional membership with the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW) and Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW).

Clinical Supervision:

Julian is currently receiving an ongoing clinical supervision from Bruno Jung-Millen, MSW, RSW (OCSWSSW, reg# 837354) and participates in peer group consultations for professional development.
