Bruno (he/him) is the Clinical Director and individual, couples & sex therapist. He is a registered social worker, psychotherapist in good standing with the OCSWSSW (reg# 837354) and a professional member of several associations including the Canadian Association of Cognitive Behavioural Therapies (CACBT) & American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT). Bruno is also a registered Circle of Security® Parenting™ (COSP™) facilitator and one of our SPACE treatment providers.

Professional Experience:

Bruno is a founder of Intersections Therapy Collective and dedicates his time providing the best clinical care to clients and operating the clinic without any other professional commitments in the public sector.

His most recent professional experience in the public sector was working as a therapist at a university medical clinic supporting youth and young adults struggling with mental health and academic challenges, and collaborating with physicians, psychiatrists and registered nurses on various cases. Bruno has also conducted 2SLGBTQIA+ focused group therapy programs and delivered mental health workshops at the university.

Previous experiences include adult mental health counselling, crisis intervention, private adoption practice, child protection (i.e. Children’s Aid Society), addictions & harm reduction, Indigenous social services (family violence and well-being programs), child welfare policy research, and children’s mental health practice & parent advocacy work (PCMH).

Bruno also provides workshops and psycho-educational presentations to groups and organizations. Most recently, he presented a professional seminar titled “Loss and Identity for Intercountry Adoptees: Exploring Narrative Therapy” at 2023 North American Council on Adoptable Children (NACAC) conference in Kansas City, MO.

Education & Training:

Bruno earned his Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Carleton University concentrating on direct intervention and clinical social work practice which included independent studies on attachment-focused therapy and developmental trauma. He has participated in graduate studies as an Ontario Visiting Graduate Student at the Faculty of Social Work at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, ON. Bruno also holds an Honors B.Soc.Sc. degree from University of Ottawa with distinction.

Additionally, Bruno has successfully completed the following post-graduate training programs:
